Inje Yongdaeri’s pollack was dried with Gangwondo’s bright sunlight and clean wind,
4 months of melting in the day and freezing in the night allowed the birth of pollack with greatest natural taste and quality.

Nature Decides Pollack’s Taste

Pollacks are dried in cold plateau with under -10 Celsius, processed by melting during the day and freezing during the night. This process of drying finishes in the early spring.
At least 33 different types of human work are required until dried pollack can be served on table.
Therefore, Koreans believe that dried pollack’s taste is decided by the nature.


What is Dried Pollack?
Koreans cook dried pollack in many ways including roasting, braising, frying, and making it as a stew or fillet.
Low fat and low cholesterol while high protein makes it a very healthy source of nutrition for people of all ages including kids and elderly.

 

Yongdae-ri’s Pollack, The Incomparable Taste
Yongdae-ri’s pollack is made in Inje, Gangwondo Province.
This area has a special climate condition with clean sunlight and wind in very low temperature, making it a production place for 70% of Korea’s dried pollack.
Using the 50 years’ worth of traditional method, the drying station maintains the production of top quality pollack.
Pollack requires 4 months of natural drying with nature’s clean sunlight and wind to be processed. In total, it requires at least 33 different types of human touch before it can be served on table.
This makes it very healthy and produces deep flavor.
Koreans often eat Yongdae-ri pollack because its taste goes along well with beer.
